The Mez Club. Byron Bay.
Kathy was approached by the designer Ky Drury to supply product for this incredible space a few years ago. She gave her the brief from the owner at the time, Emma, which was black and gold, Gold Coast, glitzy style, with lots of black and gold tiles. Kathy then got involved design wise, suggesting to both the owner and the designer assigned to the job that a Greek style beach to bar vibe would be far more suited to our region and to the actual design of the building. Luckily they decided to trust the vision and the suggestion of no tiles at all, rendering the walls instead, and going for a far more relaxed, chill vibe. Ky ended up doing the most incredible job, using all Bisque lighting, stools, chairs and decor items. It has since had a refurb by Crystal Bailey, when the new owners took over, wanting a slightly more Moroccan feel. Once again, Crystal used all Bisque for the interiors, literally taking our pots with dried olive leaves or dried palm leaves from our store, placing them in position. Another really lovely look created for this magnificent restaurant.
